Permanent Make Up is not regulated by the Department of Health and training is not required to practice.

Q: What is permanent make up?
A: Permanent make up is a form of tattooing for the face, also called microdermal pigmentation. It's perfectly safe and extremely convenient. It lasts 5-7 years. The color is beneath the dermis so it has a more natural appearance than make up which sits on top of the dermal layer.

Q: Which part of the face is permanent make up applied to?
A: Permanent make up is applied to: eye brows, eye liners (top and bottom, thick or thin), lip liner, full lips, eye lash enhancement, mucosal liner, beauty marks.

Q: Who should get permanent make up?
A: Permanent make is intended for every one and every age. It's perfect for someone who is athletic, one who has no time for make up application (don't be a slave to make up!). Is intended for those advanced in years who may not be able to apply make up due to loss of eye sight or “shaky hands”. Is intended for those who are missing eye brows and have to draw them every day (save time and effort, no more pencils).

Q: Does it hurt?
A: I use several types of topical anesthesia for each area that I apply permanent make up to. The area is exfoliated, then the anesthesia ointment is applied. Allow 30-45 minute for “numbing” before the procedure is started. If pain is experienced, more anesthesia ointment is applied. The procedure is relatively painless, you will feel a vibration caused by the placement of ink by the permanent make up pen. I did my own eye brows and full lips with lip liner and it was painless.

Q: How long does it last?
A: Permanent make up lasts approximately 5-7 years depending on exposure to the sunlight and elements. To minimize fading it is recommended that sun screen be used and to avoid sun tanning of the face.

Q: Is it safe?
A: Of course, I use only sterile needles and equipment for each client. The incidence of infection is minimal as long as you follow the written instructions provided after the application of permanent make up. The only exception is pregnant women. The colors and solutions I use are top quality and MRI safe.

Q: Would I be able to change the color?
A: I can match and apply any color to need. You can still apply any color lipstick over permanent make up, the same with eye brows and eye liners.
